On May 22, 2013, Paines Park opened to the public. The design creates a “public space for skateboarding” that accommodates many programmatic and user needs on the site. This 2.5 acre project represents the most visible site ever selected for a project involving skateboarding and the most dollars ever committed by public entities to a project involving skateboarding.
