Seeking to bolster ongoing development of housing in Chester, Friday was hired by a local developer to produce Conceptual Designs and Site Planning Concepts for a new Community and Cultural Center. The site is located just off I-95, along the Avenue of the States, the main arterial providing service into downtown Chester. The Dushong Museum- an icon of historical significance- is sited just across a small street. Friday developed a design that respects and compliments the historic property. Our plan creates a courtyard space for community events that opens to the museum property. The interior of the building includes a 200 seat theater, studio and classroom space and administrative areas.
