CedarWorks Studio

Interior Hall

The Cedar Works is a 15,000 sq. foot reclaimed warehouse, located in the Cedar Park neighborhood of West Philadelphia, that has been renovated into a community-oriented work and meeting space.

In 2011, Mill Creek Design partnered with Friday Architects/Planners, Inc to masterplan and re-purpose the building as a community work and meeting space.  Major design objectives were to solve the complex code and egress issues of the land-locked mid-block site and to preserve and amplify original and character defining features of the building.

Waterfront Housing

Friday has been working with a confidential client to develop concepts for a new waterfront housing and retail development.

Kountz Residence

Friday re-worked the interior of this IM Pei designed garden style home to create more useful and modern kitchen space.  New custom cabinets, lighting, counters and floors were involved in the plan.

Drexel Pro-Active Health

Friday completed renovations to several spaces within the Drexel Recreation Center to accommodate a new fitness center, training room and offices.

Easton Public Market

Friday worked with the Greater Easton Downtown Partnership to develop a masterplan for renovations to re-purpose a large building for a Public Market.  The building is close to Centre Square in downtown Easton.  The Market opened last fall and has been well supported by the community.  Funding limitations meant that the complete renovation could not be realized, but Friday’s work set the framework for continued phased improvements.
